Due to the 7.8 Richter earthquake in Ecuador, the Manta Intl. Airport (SEMT) is closed for all but emergency operations. There are reports that the control tower was damaged by the earthquake. There is extensive damage in Manta and Guayaquil. If you are planning a flight to Ecuador, you should determine if your destination can receive you and if the airport you plan to use will be operating normally with all required services for your itinerary.

We have contacted local agents and authorities in Ecuador and they have provided us with important information for those interested in participating in relief flights

What is needed:
• Water
• Medicines
• Non-perishable foods
• Flashlights
• Batteries
• Disposable plates and cutlery
• Tents

Where to donate?
• The airport open for humanitarian relief is Manta (SEMT).
• SEMT is currently under Air Force management, therefore all fees are being waived, except for fuel.
• Interested parties only need to provide a simple letter describing the items that are being transported to provide help (medicines, food, etc.)

Please note that there are no ground services available at the airport other than fuel (No catering, no lavatory, no GPU etc.)

Contact us if you have any additional questions (786)206 6147.
