Hi, I am planning to fly to Mexico this month and Canada next month and I have read that passengers and crew which are non-US citizens/permanent residents must clear USCIS (Customs and Immigration) before leaving the US.
Does anyone have any idea how this is done? I'm guessing it involves stopping at an Airport of Entry on the way out of the US but I can't find any information about this online.
Anyone have any experience?

I just checked with DHS (Private.Aircraft.Support@DHS.gov). A lady there replied almost instantly... what a great service.

Anyway, it seems I was mistaken. Non-US citizens/permanent residents can depart from any airport/place in the US.
