There is a NOTAM for runway closure and times. Pilots should exercise extreme caution.

We overflew the airport in February and again in March of this year and the construction continues. They have removed the casuarina pines that used to line the east side of the runway which made crosswind landings interesting. The picture below was taken this month and shows how much the airstrip has changed.
A portion of the Norman's Cay runway is unusable and has been marked with "X"'s. There is only 3,000 feet reportedly available and there are men and equipment. If you plan to fly to Norman's, exercise caution and get the latest information from Nassau Flight Service and/or Bahamas Civil Aviation.
