Just as in Zacatecas, the roll-out of the new Mexico entry procedures for private aircraft has also hit a major snag in San Luis Potosi, Mexico (MMSP). Mexican Customs at this airport also refuses to accept the new entry procedures and is insisting on the use of the old procedures. The DGAC, on the other hand, is insisting on using the new procedures and refuses to issue the old GHC-001 form which the Mexican Customs officials at the San Luis Potosi airport want. That leaves foreign registered aircraft landing in San Luis Potosi caught in the middle.

Anyone planning to fly to San Luis Potosi on an INTERNATIONAL flight should AVOID making the international arrival in San Luis Potosi.

No NOTAM has been issued for this airport to alert aircraft planning to fly there. Anyone planning to fly to San Luis Potosi Intl. Airport (MMSP) from the USA or any other country should make there first landing at another Mexican International airport FIRST and then fly to Zacateas as a domestic flight.
