Based on information provided by the Brazilian government and our agents in Brazil, starting on April 10, 2024, VISAs will once again be required for all crew and passengers entering Brazil for a period not to exceed 90 days on private and charter flights if they are conducting one of the following activities:
• Business visitor attending meetings, trade fairs and business events, prospect commercial opportunities, sign contracts, audit or consult.
• Tourism visitor is the foreign who wish to carry out activities of a tourist, informative or recreational nature, as well as visiting family members.
• Participate in conferences, seminars, congresses or meetings, characterized as specific events. These visitors do not receive remuneration in Brazil for their activities.
• Aircraft crew member
There is a new electronic portal for obtaining a 10-year VISA electronically after successfully complying with the application instructions. https://brazil.vfsevisa.com/
Please note that one of our agents has indicated that the crews of private aircraft will be allowed entry without a VISA for a period of up to 10 days. However, this is in direct contradiction with the information published by the Brazilian government. As this does not go into effect until April 10, 2024, we have no actual corroboration that this will in fact be allowed. We recommend that you err on the side of caution and obtain the VISA.
