CBP has emphasized that it is the pilot's responsibility to verify that all of the information on the eAPIS manifests filed is correct, including passport numbers, names, itineraries, etc. If the pilot has delegated this responsibility to someone else, legally it is the pilot who will be responsible of making sure that all the information submitted to the CBP authorities is correct. Additionally, it is also the pilot's responsibility to ensure that all people on board have a valid passort with them.
