Bahamas Customs has mandated the immediate implementation of their proprietary system "Click2Clear".

While we have been aware of this intention we had been reaching out to The Bahamas government to point out a number of issues, errors and misleading information that the system possesses, as well as how detrimental the use of this system could be to private air travel to The Bahamas.

We had been told that Bahamas Customs officials would be at AirVenture to discuss this system with Bahamas Flying Ambassadors like ourselves. Unfortunately, without prior notifications nor warning, Bahamas Customs mandated immediate implementation.

Everyone who promotes and facilitates travel to The Bahamas such as FBOs, Bahamas Flying Ambassadors, loyal private pilots, etc. were caught completely by surprise and are asking for explanations and the answers to our technical questions.

Today, we reached out and spoke to the Click2Clear program manager and are waiting to speak to the Comptroller of Bahamas Customs to reiterate our concerns and questions.

However, we have been told that as of this moment, officially all entries MUST be processed through the Click2Clear portal.
