There is currently NO AVGAS in neither Grand Cayman nor Cayman Brac. Texaco has sent samples of the AVGAS stock on the islands off for testing. In the meantime, they will NOT sell any AVGAS. They expect to receive the results of the tests by October 21, 2011

We have been informed that AVGAS service will be restored today, Monday, October 24, 2011 in both Grand Cayman and Cayman Brac.

However, there is an unconfirmed report that service will be disrupted on Thursday because the fuel truck will be sent out to service. If this is true, why didn't they perform the service while there was no AVGAS??

There is no AVGAS once again in the Cayman Islands. Service is not expected to be restored until at least Wednesday, November 30, 2011 or Thursday, December 1, 2011 pending the results of tests on fuel samples sent to the USA. There appears to be an ongoing fuel quality issue in the isalnds but getting definitive answers has been difficult.

Anyone planning on flying to the Cayman Islands should verify fuel availability prior to departing the USA.
