This is important information regarding SLOT requirements in MWCR, Owen Roberts International Airport in Grand Cayman.
From 31st October 2021 Owen Roberts International Airport will be granted by IATA as a level two scheduled facilitated airport, which will require all aircraft operators to have arrival & departure slot approvals. These slot requests must be submitted 48 hours prior to operation and will be on a first come first served basis.


For now, the Cayman Island borders remain closed, unless the flight is approved by the Civil Aviation Authority, who will issuing all of the slot approvals. Re-opening is expected for November 20th, 2021.


Additionally, due to the increasing size of business jets and the limited space available for extended parking it is necessary to limit parking to a maximum 72 hours at specific times/dates to ensure a safe environment within the General Aviation apron:

• 22nd to 28th November 2021
• 20th to 31st December 2021
• 1st to 8th January 2022
• 14th to 17th January 2022
• 5th to 23rd March 2022
• 13th to 17th April 2022

UPDATE: due to the lower than normal commercial operations expected over the next couple of months, the 72 hour parking limitation will be removed, until February 2022. Additional parking space is available at the commercial terminal.
