Los Cabos has become one of Mexico's favorite destinations for international visitors.
Despite COVID-19, both MMSD and MMSL are registering a large number of arrivals, this has been great for tourism and to help reactivate the local economy, however, it also means that services, such as parking at the Airports may be limted.

MMSD (San Jose del Cabo International Airport) is the busiest, not only because of private aircraft, but also because this is the ariport where all the domestic and international airlines arrive.
FBO Management expects to receive the highest volume of visitors on the period starting December 18th, 2020, until January 9th, 2021. Therefore, parking reservations should be made well in advance. If parking is available you will receive a confirmation and the space will be reserved. Any cancellation must be notified at least 48 hours before the estimated time of arrival.

If the parking ramp were full a NOTAM will most likely be issued, however, we recommend verifying this directly with the Airport Authorities.

If parking were not available for your desired dates at MMSD, then you have 2 options:

• Drop your passengers off, go back to the USA to park and then return to pick them up (only if you are not part of the vacation plans....)
• Fly to MMSL (Cabo San Lucas International Airport) instead.

While most pilots are more familiar with MMSD because it the biggest airport in Los Cabos, MMSL is also a great option, offering a high quality service and "friendlier" to General Aviation, since you will not run into airlnes.

This year MMSL confirmed that, while they are expecting a lot of visitors, they should still have enough parking space for everyone.

From our personal experience, a lot of tourists are choosing Los Cabos over other destinations in Mexico (like Cancun or Puerto Vallarta), so... plan ahead!
