A lot of things have changed since mid-march when all of a sudden our lifestyles were affected in one way or another by Coronaviurs. The impact of this pandemic has been such that some countries decided to shut their borders entirely in order to protect their citizens and avoid overwhelming their healthcare systems.

As the months go by and we learn the best ways to prevent transmission of the virus, some countries have decided to reopen their borders following strict protocols to ensure that reopening will not mean increasing cases of COVID-19.

Some of the countries that have opened their borders to receive visitors again are beautiful caribbean islands where a large part of the population depends on tourism and honestly, a lot of us who have been in lockdown could also benefit from a few days of sunlight and waves following, of course, safety measures to stay healthy.

Most countries will require visitors to:
  • Present a negative result of a COVID-19 PCR test
  • Fill out health declaration forms before they travel or once they arrive
  • Follow social distancing measures and "coronavirus etiquette"

To learn more about the specific requirements, visit our COVID-19 travel restrictions page.
