Hello pilots!

This December I want to do a flight to Mexico using a single engine Diamond DA40.
Because I am not super familiar with the process, I was thinking about hiring a "handler" company to help me with the paperwork and flight plan.

The idea is to fly from Austin (KAUS) to Ciudad Victoria (MMCV), then direct to Morelia (MMMM) and finally Acapulco (MMAA.
Assuming I already have my DGAC multi-entry permit, I contacted a handling company to see what their rates are for a small plane like mine and to essentially just get help with the flight plan...

They quotes me:

MMCV: $590.00 USD + 16% IVA
MMMM: $395.00 USD + 16% IVA
MMAA: $490.00 USD + 16% IVA

OMG, are these prices accurate? Why are they charging so much to file an ICAO flight plan, take it to the SENEAM office to get it stamped, and then to the DGAC?

Is this all something I can do myself with preparation?

This is what I am planning to do, just learn it myself.
