I wanted to pass on that when we cleared in at Torreon, we discovered that they require the fee for the multi-entry permit be paid into a federal account at the bank. $1473 mx pesos.
This caused some confusion and time wasting for sure.
We didn't have time to pay in Torreon since we were fuelling up to continue on to Zacatecas that afternoon.
I asked the guy in Zacatecas if I could pay there and he said to go to the bank and deposit the fee into the account. The banks were closed and we were heading to Oaxaca first thing the next morning. He said to pay in Oaxaca!
We went to a bank and paid the fee into the account and emailed the receipt to the first guy in Torreon. He acknowledged the receipt and said we were good to go.
Anyone else have any experience with this? They stamped out multi-entry permit and it looks like all the other we have received over the years.
Curious if this is a new procedure for eliminating the cash factor?

There are 2 official methods of payment for the Single Entry and Multiple Entry permits. The first is with a VISA or MasterCard at the DGAC office. All DGAC offices have credit card terminals for processing credit cards. However, sometimes DGAC staff are not trained on how to use them or there other reasons that they cannot be used.

We are surprised that they allowed you to continue on because the law says that your Entry Permit is ONLY valid when accompanied by the official receipt of payment. Technically, you had an invalid permit for your flight from Torreon to Zacatecas and Zacatecas to Oaxaca. At the same time, thank goodness the DGAC was willing to work with you to keep you from being stranded in Torreon. (By the way, we DO NOT recommend Torreon as an airport of landing for any flight unless it is your destination - see post in this section).

Technically, the procedure is incorrect but practically, it resolved your problem. It appears that there were good intentions all the way around to help you get to your destination on time and still be able to make the payment.
