There has been a MAJOR revision in how Southern Border Overflight Exemptions (BOE) will be processed and handled by CBP.

Going forward, BOEs will be issued to an operator. Aircraft and flight crews WILL NOT be submitted nor listed when a BOE is requested and they will not appear when it is approved.

BOEs will be issued to an Operator and an Operator can use their BOE with any aircraft and/or with any crewmembers, provided that the Operator is listed on the eAPIS manifest that is submitted where the BOE is to be used. If the BOE is improperly used, then the Operator may lose their right to use the BOE regardless of aircraft or crew. In other words, the BOE is related only to an Operator. The Operator decides what aircraft and crew they want to use their BOE with. The KEY THING is that when an eAPIS is submitted, the Operator must be listed in the OPERATOR portion of the eAPIS manifest.

Hello.

My aircraft name is register under a club name, Austin Aviators Flight Club.

In the eAPIS, I've entered "Austin Aviators Flight Club" as the Operator, but I've also been told that to Operator should be MY personal name, since I am the one operating the aircraft.

Furthermore, and in regards to this thread, if I submit a BOE application under my Name, that means that as long as I am flying, I can use any airplane, is that correct?

As the one who is operating the aircraft for this flight, you should put yourself as the operator and whoever appears on the Registration Certificate as the owner of the aircraft.

BOE's are issued to operators so if you plan to use a BOE then the Operator the BOE was issued to should be the operator that appears on the eAPIS manifest
