During the summer months, whale sharks congregate by the hundreds off the coast of the quaint Island of Holbox located at the northernmost point of the Yucatan Peninsula, where the Gulf of Mexico meets the Caribbean Sea. This remote little island is home to a small fishing village and several small boutique hotels. The only access to the island is via ferry or by small aircraft into the private airstrip located on the island. Caribbean Sky Tours arranges landing authorization for all of its customers on this airstrip. |
