Relax and enjoy autumn flying: Perfect weather, beautiful scenery and a wonderful mix of activities and destinations. Caribbean Sky Tours will process permits, flight plans and eAPIS, arrange for lodging, meals and tours as outlined in the itinerary, and assist participants throughout the entire trip. We will depart the day after AOPA-Summit is over and fly to the following destinations:
LORETO The Mission of our Lady of Loreto, which this destination is named after, was founded by Jesuits in 1697; it is considered to be the “Head and Mother” of all missions founded along a trail stretching through the Upper and Lower Californias ending in Sonoma. Tourism in Loreto has developed slowly which has allowed the town to preserve its peaceful atmosphere and captivating charm. We will also visit Coronado Island located in the Loreto Bay National Marine Park.
CABO SAN LUCAS We will change pace and head to lively Cabo San Lucas which has much to offer in terms of shopping, gastronomy and golden sand beaches. Here we will have the opportunity to stroll around the picturesque marina and take a boat ride to the famous Arch and other rock formations that mark land’s end on the Baja Peninsula.
ALAMOS Last but not least we will enjoy a bird’s eye view of the Sea of Cortes as we head to the historic town of Alamos in Sonora, for the ultimate pampering experience surrounded by exquisite luxury. Founded in 1685, Alamos developed as a prosperous mining town during the colonial period. In Alamos enjoy a stroll or train ride through the colonial town, cobblestone streets and around the picturesque plaza. Alamos has been distinguished as one of Mexico’s Magic Villages for its architectural beauty, cultural and historic heritage.

Itinerary
There will be a pre-flight briefing on Saturday, November 13th, (pre-flight briefing location to be confirmed). The group will meet at the Long Beach Air Center on Sunday, November 14th at 7:30 am for a final trip review and briefing.
Day 1 Sunday
Leave from Long Beach Airport (KLGB) to San Felipe International Airport. Clear customs and immigration, process entry permits and refuel. We will have a light lunch before continuing on to Loreto. Upon arriving in Loreto, we will transfer to the elegant Hotel La Mision to check in and freshen up before meeting for dinner at the hotel.

Day 2 Monday
After breakfast, we will meet in the lobby to embark on a half day tour to Isla Coronado, one of 5 islands inside the National Marine Park, where we will have the opportunity to enjoy the wildlife and spend some time on a beautiful beach. A light lunch will be provided on the tour. Upon returning to the hotel you may want to take the opportunity to stroll around downtown Loreto, visit the Mission of our lady of Loreto, the Mission’s Museum or just enjoy the hotel pool and Spa. Take the opportunity to try one of the local restaurants for dinner. In the evening we will reconvene at the hotel for the pre-flight briefing of our next flight.

Day 3 Tuesday
After breakfast we will transfer to the Loreto International Airport and enjoy another wonderful flight along the Baja coastline to Cabo San Lucas. Upon arrival we will transfer to the Marina Fiesta Resort & Spa, located right on the lively marina, the heart and soul of Cabo San Lucas. Optional activities include a boat ride to the famous Arch and to Lover’s beach or a tour to a local glass factory where you can watch authentic pieces of art take shape right in front of your eyes. Or you may simply choose to stroll around the marina, do some shopping or spend some time on Medano beach only a five minute walk from the hotel. We will meet at the hotel for dinner and a pre-flight briefing for the flight to Alamos.

Day 4 Wednesday
The group will depart Cabo San Lucas and arrive in Alamos in the early afternoon. We will transfer to our beautiful one-of-a-kind boutique hotel Hacienda de Los Santos where you can relax the rest of the day. We will offer a late afternoon tour around town before having dinner at the hotel.

Day 5 Thursday
Enjoy a day exploring the magical village of Alamos and surrounding areas or pamper yourself at the Hacienda, enjoy the gardens, pools, and Spa. We will meet for a farewell dinner in the Hacienda and have our pre-flight briefing for our return to the U.S.

Day 6 Friday
We will depart Alamos after breakfast and return to Calexico, California. Along the way, we will stop in Puerto Peñasco to check out of Mexico and refuel before continuing on to the U.S.
